PawPDF — Privacy-first PDF toolkit
Work with PDF files directly in your browser. PawPDF's signature feature lets you cross out and watermark an ID card photocopy — placing the front and back on a single A4 page with diagonal lines and a "for ... use only" label to help prevent misuse when you send a copy of your identity document. Beyond that, it offers a full set of everyday PDF operations.

PawFormatter — Data formatter & converter
Beautify and convert structured data locally in your browser. PawFormatter supports JSON, YAML, TOML, XML, and TOON, so you can pretty-print a single format to make it readable, or convert between any two of them without pasting sensitive configuration into an unknown remote service. It's a handy companion for developers, sysadmins, and anyone who wrangles config files.

Why privacy-first, client-side tools?
Most "free online" file tools work by uploading your document to a server, processing it there, and sending it back. That means your file — which might be an ID card, a contract, or a configuration file full of secrets — leaves your control and sits on someone else's computer, if only briefly. Our tools take the opposite approach.
Nothing is uploaded
All processing happens inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files never travel across the network, so there is no upload to intercept and no server copy to leak.
Works offline
Once a tool has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and keep working. The processing code already lives in your browser, so it does not need to phone home.
No account, no tracking
There is nothing to sign up for and no first-party analytics following you around. You open a tool, do your task, and close the tab.
Frequently asked questions
Are these tools really free?
Yes. Both PawPDF and PawFormatter are completely free to use, with no trials, subscriptions, or premium tiers. The sites are supported by unobtrusive advertising, which is what keeps them free for everyone.
Do my files or data get uploaded anywhere?
No. Every operation runs locally in your browser. Your PDFs and your pasted data never leave your device and are never sent to us or to any third party. Advertising on the sites has no access to the files you work with.
Do I need to install anything?
No installation is required. Both tools run in any modern web browser on desktop or mobile. Just open the tool and start working.
Is there a file size or usage limit?
There are no artificial limits on file size or how often you can use the tools. The only practical limit is your own device's memory and processing power, since everything happens locally.
